Hello gorgeous! My name is Opal Wright. I am a self-taught artist based in Vermont and I’m delighted by folklore, history, and the natural world. My work is inspired by all things whimsical and strange.

About My Art:

My favorite mediums are digital, acrylic gouache, watercolor, and colored pencils. Also, I heavily rely on blood, sweat and tears. So many tears. My paintings are usually inspired by influences I’ve listed above, but oftentimes they begin as a flash of… something. A color palette, a composition, or a character. I imagine it’s similar to how songwriters catch a tune or a few lines before the whole song comes to them.
