Hello fellow traveler! My name is Opal Wright, and I am a self-taught artist from rural New Hampshire with a vested interest in folklore, history, and the natural world. My work is inspired by all things that I find whimsical and fascinating, which is the polite way of saying that I am as eclectic as I am motivated.
My favorite mediums are acrylic gouache, watercolor, and colored pencils (in that order) and I usually use a combination of all three in my art pieces. Blood, sweat, and tears, however, usually do in a pinch. My process involves going into a trance-like state and waking up hours later, dazed, and covered in blood with the finished product lying beside me surrounded by archaic runes made of bones.
